Friday Flickr Babe XXVII

This Friday’s babe is maybe the artsiest of the lot so far.

The last image is very slightly NSFW.

Thirteen Cars I Have Owned

1974 Ford Pinto – dark brown hatchback. Never got rearended, and so I am alive today. I did not bag any babes in this car, although I did fill one side of it with vomit and attempt to exit it while it was still moving. I would have been ok, though, as I was boneless [...]

Further to One Funny Thing

On doing further reading, it seems that target=_blank, the tag attribute that tells a browser to open a link in a new window, has been deprecated. So that is why it no longer works. I found a workaround, but it involves embedding javascript, and some people have that turned off, so it would work for [...]

Reboot Contest Redux I

I called this Redux I because I’m sure I’ll be saying more about Microsoar’s reboot writing contest.
The premise is simple: the world (and presumably the universe) enters a cycle where it reboots every two years, starting on July 14 2006. On what would be July 15, 2008, everybody wakes up and finds themselves as they [...]

One Funny Thing

I had all my links set to open in a new window. In WordPress, this means setting a property to add target=_blank to the tag. I like it when a site does this, and I try to do it as a courtesy to my visitors.
However, I noticed that mine seem to have been reset with [...]

Yet Another Contest

John R, as he is sometimes known, or Microsoar, as he is also sometimes known is running a writing contest.
It is an intriguing premise. The world ‘reboots’ every two years, and we all relive the period between July 2006 and July 2008. Presumably with memories intact, otherwise how would we know about the reboot? [...]

Well, I’m Not Surprised

Via Shaina, who should be studying instead of looking at pictures of boobs.

You scored 18 of 20 boobs!

Thanks for taking my test! Be sure to tip your waitress. She has to pay for her implants.

The Renovations Continue

After having fixed everything and got it working again, I put in the theme that I’ve spent so much time tweaking… and decided that I didn’t like it.
So here’s a new, simpler theme. There will be tweaks to this, you can be sure, but for now, it’s simple and clean and has a low obnoxiousness [...]

Upgrade Again

I have just upgraded this installation to WordPress 2.3.1. This was in an effort to get TinyMCE working, but TinyMCE still doesn’t want to cooperate. This may be due to caching, they say, so I will give the cache some time to age out before freaking out and demanding a refund1.

TinyMCE is open-source freeware.

Friday Flickr Babe XXVI

I don’t remember how I ran across today’s Flickr Babe. I’ve been generally posting more mature women, but this first image really grabbed my attention.

It is elfin, with a strange otherworldly feel. It’s partly her expression: she’s looking at us, the viewer, as if we were from the otherworld.
More below. Safe for work viewing.
